MASTERLIST
Request: @saralovesshawn: Hi I’m Sara and was wondering if you’d do an imagine for me! It can be y/n if you want. Basically I’m super short (4'9) and I’m 17 so maybe even though Shawn and I are dating I’m still kinda intimidated cause I’m tiny like I go below his chest but he’s really sweet and cute and fluffy about it
Sara’s POV
Throughout our whole relationship, Shawn has always teased me about my height. Being 17 and 4’9 is somehow hilarious to him.
“Well I think it’s cute, it means I’m the best spooning partner,” I smugly said as I made breakfast for the two of us.
“It is cute, and yes you are the best spooning partner, but it’s still funny,” he giggled as he tapped my shoulder, making me turn to face him, and got a huge handful of the chocolate chips placed out for pancakes.
“Hey!” I slapped his arm as he made a quick retreat.
“Can I ask you something?” I just nodded whilst mixing in the very few chocolate chips into the batter.
“Have you ever been scared of my height?” I thought for a minute. I was never scared of Shawn, even though he towered over me at 6’2. He did at times intimidate me, as he was not only tall but pretty fit. So being 6’2 and being pretty strong, is an intimidating combination.
“Well not scared, but intimidated,” I nodded whilst spooning the mixture to the pan.
“Why intimidated?” Shawn asked throwing chocolate chips into his mouth.
“Well, you are tall, but not only that, you have huge arms that are the size of my legs and could most probably choke me if you hugged me by my neck. So having a boyfriend that could kill me in a second is quite intimidating,” Shawn laughed but suddenly became silent. I turned around to be face-to-face with his torso.
“You know I would never hurt you, right?” I nodded, wrapping my arms around his waist.
“I know Shawn, don’t overthink it,” I reassured him. I kissed his cheek and turned around going back to making the pancakes. I felt Shawn’s strong arms wrap around my waist, swaying us side-to-side. I giggled, letting him move my body in a calming way.
He kissed my neck lightly, his arms letting go from my waist, going back to the table.
“Sara, how come you never told me I intimidated you?”
“Well, I never thought it was important ‘till you brought it up. But I guess it’s because I didn’t want you to overthink it and make it seem as though I’m scared of you, which I know you’re thinking,” I turned around, leaning against the counter, crossing my arms over my chest.
“I’m not overthinking it,” I looked at him with a ‘are you serious’ face.
“Okay, fine, I’m overthinking it. But who wouldn’t, I’m so afraid that one day this intimidation you have for me, will somehow turn into you being scared of me. And I don’t want that, at all. Because I love you Sara, I want to have a future with you, and it’d be kinda difficult if you’re scared of me.”
I walked over to the table and sat on Shawn’s lap, sideways (like how princesses sit on horses). I put my arms around his neck and brought him into a kiss. I held the back of his neck as Shawn was holding my thighs and the small of my back. I pulled away letting our foreheads touch.
“Shawn Peter Raul Mendes, don’t you ever think that I’ll be scared of you. You are the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, okay? So don’t think I’m leaving too soon. You’re stuck with me,” he chuckled and pecked my nose. I scrunched my nose and giggled at the feeling.
“I love you Sara, and I can’t wait ‘till I wake up to you every morning,” he kissed my forehead.
I then heard the fire alarm go off and I looked to see my pancakes burnt on the pan.
“Crap!” I yelled running towards the stove. I grabbed an oven mitt and placed the burning hot pan in the sink.
“Look what your cuteness made me do,” I carefully put some cold water on the pan after it cooled down for a minute.
“I’m sorry baby, I love you,” Shawn said in an innocent voice, putting his arms around my neck, gently. I turned to face him in his arms. I pulled the collar of his shirt down so his lips almost touched mine.
“I love you too, you dork,” before crashing my lips on to his.
